with Dr. Greg Finlayson, Ph.D., C.Psych.
Practicing since 1972, Dr. Finlayson has been in full-time, independent practice in clinical and education psychology since 1989.
Prior to that, he held a staff position between 1972 and 1979 at the C.M. Hincks Treatment Centre, and was chief psychologist at Earlscourt Child and Family Centre between 1979 and 1983. He worked as a school psychologist with what is now the Peel District School Board for one year, prior to becoming senior psychologist for the Board in 1984 until assuming full-tim independent practice in 1989
He has several years’ experience providing assessments of children and youth for boards of education, child welfare agencies, and for the court in child custody and access, mediation, as well as court-ordered assessments of young offenders and young adults.
He has provided services to families and staff of Kinark Child and Family Services, Peel Children’s Centre and, for the past 22 years has consulted to various programs of Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS).
A stand-alone workshop that focuses on management strategies
- An overview of ADHD and the ways in which it creates challenges for individuals and those around them.
- An introduction to the components of a comprehensive approach to treatment.
- A focus on strategies which will help the individual, as well as parents and teachers, manage those challenges.
